The Department of Religion at Simpson College invites applications for a full-time, (six courses per year) tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor to begin Fall 2020. Area of specialization is open, but some expertise in ethics, as well as Christianity in dialogue with another religious tradition, is preferred.
Simpson is a private four-year, comprehensive, liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The main campus is 12 miles from Iowa’s capital city of Des Moines. The College encourages innovative teaching and seeks colleagues who will help its students of all ages develop critical intellectual skills and nurture values that foster personal worth and individuality for the purpose of living fulfilled lives within a creative, diverse and just community.
