Student Teacher Supervisor — 2020-21

Simpson College seeks Student Teacher Supervisors for the 2020-2021 academic year in Elementary and Middle School special education and Middle School/High School math.

General responsibilities include periodic observation of student teachers in the classroom and conducting evaluation conferences throughout the student teaching assignment. Simpson places students for this learning opportunity in school systems within a 35-mile radius of the Indianola campus, so travel is a requirement of this position. 

Supervisors are compensated with a per-student stipend as well as reimbursed for mileage.
The successful candidates will have taught or held an administrative position within the PK-12 school system for a minimum of three years, have a current Iowa teaching license and hold a master’s degree in education or related area.
