Mark Siebert

Department Chair of Multimedia Communication, Associate Professor of Multimedia Communication, and Director of Simpson Student Media
Mark Siebert brings his experience as a news reporter to the Multimedia Communication Department at Simpson and advises the various student media news outlets on campus.

Biography

 

Mark Siebert took a bit different path to academe than most. He spent the first half of his working life as a newspaper reporter – at small town weeklies, at metropolitan dailies and, most recently, as a general assignment reporter for The Des Moines Register. Now, he enjoys teaching writing, mentoring students and connecting them with the many media professionals in central Iowa and beyond.
