Phil Peters

Music Teaching Artist- Double Bass
I love sharing my enthusiasm and excitement for the Double Bass with students at Simpson College. Participating in the SC Community Orchestra and the faculty chamber ensembles is also rewarding due to the camaraderie among the music faculty.

Phil Peters has been the director of the Valley High School orchestra program since August 1995 after teaching in Baltimore for ten years. Mr. Peters earned his Bachelor’s degree in music education from Towson University in Maryland and a Master of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Music of Johns Hopkins University.
