Undergraduate
History
By studying history, you understand the past in its own context and gain a better view of the present and future.
History major and minor
History is not simply dates and events of the past. You will become immersed in history as each course provides the foundation and experience for the next.
Studying history at Simpson is a student-centered learning experience. You will research original documents, role-play, engage in class discussions, and benefit from experiential learning. Further, it is designed so you have a hand in how you complete your study of history.
Students can combine a history minor with any major to make themselves marketable in various careers. Simpson College history minors find their analytical and communication skills relevant to jobs in various careers and excellent preparation for fields like law, journalism, and public administration.
