Human Services (On Campus Program)

Helping vulnerable populations find the support and assistance they need.

Human Services (On Campus Porgram)

The Human Services major prepares students to address the needs of various diverse communities, groups, families, and individuals in our society.

Students will analyze social forces, policies, and human service delivery systems at the micro and macro levels. They will gain knowledge in crisis assessment and intervention, counseling strategies, program evaluation, and grant writing.

Through their required field experience, students will gain practical skills and knowledge from community agency placements. The Human Services major will target skills needed to serve others.

Studying human services will help you develop your gift of compassion and your unwillingness to accept the status quo. Classes will teach you theory, skills, and knowledge and then give you an immersive experience in a human services agency.
