Pre-Athletic Training
The field of athletic training is rapidly changing. CAATE, the accrediting body, now requires a Master’s degree in athletic training to practice as certified athletic trainers.
A health and exercise science major can prepare students with hands-on skills and foundational knowledge to be best prepared to apply to a wide range of graduate programs.
As Certified Athletic Trainers can be found in a wide range of settings, Simpson College will also provide you with many opportunities to observe and work with current practicing Athletic Trainers. At the same time, you take classes focused on anatomy, injury diagnosis, and rehabilitation.
