Study Abroad Faculty Resources

Timeline for May Term 2028 Travel Courses:

  • November/December 2026: Forms available and development sessions offered
  • January 15, 2027: Proposals due through Modern Campus
  • Late January-February 2027: Proposals reviewed by Director of Study Abroad and Campus Advisory Committee (CAC)
  • March-April 2027: Approved proposals sent by CAC to Curriculum Committee and then to full faculty
  • August 2027: Budget assumptions for approved courses reviewed/updated for marketing purposes.
  • September 2027: Marketing commences to students. Study Abroad Fair set for a Wednesday afternoon in late September
  • October 2027: Applications due and accepted students decided by faculty leaders.

For May 2028 planning, please use the following resources:

  • Link to Modern Campus for Faculty-Led Study Abroad Program Proposal. This is the official academic course proposal within the study abroad context.
  • May Term 2028 Budget and Logistics Planning Document. Submit the completed Overview Tab as a file attachment to the Modern Campus form.  Reconciliation and Applications & Roster tabs can be ignored and left empty.
  • Site Visit Proposal within the Budget & Logistics spreadsheet, if applicable.  This outlines the reasons for advance travel for CAC review.
