Entrepreneurship

Minor

What will I learn?

Two entrepreneurship tracks, one for business majors and one for non-business majors, will help you build connections with the entrepreneurial community. Using coursework to foster business acumen, you will be asked to create and/or run businesses or non-profit organizations, network with entrepreneurs and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset.

The minor places a strong emphasis on written and oral communication skills, teamwork and personal initiative.

This course is open to any student interested in starting their own business or in learning more about what entrepreneurship means. You'll meet professionals who have launched businesses and build connections within the region's thriving entrepreneurial community by taking part in Des Moines' One Million Cups event.
