• Submit the application: There is no application fee.
  • Use the First-Year Application: Apply directly to Simpson through our online application.
    Use the Common Application: Add Simpson to the list of schools to send your application.
• Check your application status: If you have already applied.
• Send your transcripts or upload to your application portal 

Simpson College is test-optional

• You may apply to the institution as a first-year student without submitting standardized test scores.

Simpson admits students with a proven record of academic achievement who have taken advantage of the academic opportunities available. Your coursework is considered as the most important component of the admission process.  The following secondary coursework is strongly recommended:

• English — 4 years
• Math — 3-4 years (at least two years of Algebra and one geometry)
• Lab Science — 3-4 years
• Social Science — 3 years
• Foreign Language — Strongly recommended

Students who have earned an Associate of Arts degree at an accredited community college will have fulfilled the requirements of the Engaged Citizenship Curriculum (all general academic requirements) before starting at Simpson. Simpson has course articulation guides for Iowa community colleges which show how each class will transfer to Simpson. Credit evaluations are generated quickly upon request and are automatically completed for prospective students and applicants.
