The Summer Residency will be held June 22 – July 30, 2019
The application to participate in the Simpson Youth Academy will be available on this page starting on October 1, 2018. The application consists of personal and contact information, two letters of reference, and several short essay questions that help us get to know you. The priority deadline to submit applications is February 1, 2019. If all spots are not filled at that time, the secondary deadline will be March 1, 2019. There is no application fee.
The Residency is an intensive, residential, full-time commitment. It is not possible to participate in other programs (camps, mission trips, etc.) that are concurrent with the Residency.
We welcome youth formed in all Christian denominations, youth from other religious traditions and youth who have no specific faith tradition.
Cost:
SYA guarantees all participants financial support. The Academy and Simpson College generously pay $3,700 for tuition per student to run this year-long program. We ask only that participants themselves pay a $450 fee for housing and meals. Through additional scholarships, we work to ensure the program’s accessibility to all.
