Olympic-style men's and women's rugby combines the physicality of football, the passing ability of basketball and the footwork of soccer. It’s a great way to get in shape, stay in shape and feed your need for competition.
Simpson College introduced rugby as a club sport during the 2012-13 academic year. You can help us build on the great success of our first year, when we finished fourth in the country.
The benefits of joining Team Simpson
- Learn the rules of one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. If you don’t know what a scrum is, don’t worry. We’ll teach you.
- Stay in shape during the off-season for your main sport.
- Compete against Division I schools such as Iowa, Iowa State and Northern Iowa.
- Get to know, work with and depend on teammates who will become friends for life.
- Practice and play in an environment in which player safety is paramount.
- See the state and country—our team traveled to Philadelphia last year for the national championships.
"It’s just good to be part of a different sport and try something new."
