DESCRIPTION:The Culver Public Policy Center presents its annual Labor Day program\, featuring Dr. John V. Winters\, Professor of Economics at Iowa State University. Winters’ research focuses on regional and labor economics\, with particular emphasis on migration and brain drain\, human capital and regional development\, education and labor-market outcomes\, STEM employment\, self-employment\, and the regional effects of economic shocks such as the fracking boom. His work has appeared in leading journals in regional\, labor\, and urban economics.
