The free\, one-hour performance will be followed by a dessert reception. The well-known “Triumphal March” from Aida by Verdi will begin the program\, followed by the lyric “Spring Song” by Sibelius. Fuga Y Misterio\, a saucy tango for strings by Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla\, will follow. The “Reformation” Symphony by Mendelssohn will finish the program. Audience members may recognize the hymn\, “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God”\, composed by Martin Luther\, introduced in the fourth movement of the symphony. There is something for everyone on this program!
