Biography
Adrienne Gathman is a professor of institutional and law-based courses in Political Science and serves as the pre-law advisor for students across campus. With a commitment to student success and learning, she focuses on building courses and resources that are accessible to and enjoyable for all students, whether they are interested in political science and the law or not. Class highlights include a mock caucus for a Disney villain presidential candidate, a gerrymandering game, and a judicial opinion competition.
Her research interests span state and federal institutions, with a particular emphasis on divided government in the state executive branch. She is an active member of the American Political Science Association, the Midwest Political Science Association, and the Midwest Association of Pre-Law Advisors.
