Biography
Lucy is no stranger to Simpson. An Iowa native, she came to Simpson as a student in 1999 and graduated with a double major in Business and Sports Administration and a minor in Marketing. She later earned her graduate degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Iowa State University, while remaining, in her words, a loyal Hawkeye fan the entire time!
Lucy brings nearly 20 years of professional experience working with students, fraternity and sorority communities, volunteers, and campus partners. She began her career at Washington University in St. Louis, where her work included Greek Life and women’s leadership programming. For 13 years, Lucy worked for Tri Delta, supporting its 138 chapters across North America. Her experience includes chapter development, policy work, organizational change, volunteer support, and navigating complex and high-risk situations.
What makes this homecoming particularly special is Lucy’s connection to Simpson. She shared that the Simpson community played an important role in developing her into the person she is today, and she is excited to now pay that experience forward to today’s students.
