Biography

Marzia was born and raised in Italy, and has lived in the US since 1992, where she completed her studies in Spanish and Education. Marzia began her career as a high school Spanish teacher, and continued to teach Spanish, ESL, and Career Preparation courses at the Community College level. She arrived at Simpson in 2008, beginning her tenure at the institution as Spanish Instructor in the World Languages and Cultures department; she also served a interim Director of International programs, TRIO-Student Support Services Coordinator, and Director of the TRIO – Student Support Services program before taking her current role of Grant Programs Officer in 2020.

 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish, Master of Arts in Education and Spanish, both from Truman State University.
