Simpson College Honor Choir

Simpson College Honor Choir

Join us for a great day of musical learning on (2024 date TBD)! Simpson Choral Director, Dr. Jon Arnold will be leading the day!

Just before All-State auditions in the state of Iowa, the Simpson College Honor Choir serves many fantastic purposes including a chance to rehearse and perform at least two (and sometimes three) of the year’s All-State pieces in a performance setting prior to the auditions.

The Simpson College Honor Choir is designed as a non-competitive environment where exceptional students from high school choral programs have the opportunity to spend a day rehearsing and performing high quality choral music. The festival augments and reinforces the exciting work that is already being done in their home choral programs. A day such as this serves as an opportunity for students to energize, discover, and reaffirm their interest and passion in singing.

WHO ATTENDS:  Conductors can nominate as many students as they wish, preferably in balanced SATB quartets
COST:  $15 per student (includes lunch)
CONCERT ATTIRE:  Attire for the evening concert is the students' regular high school performance attire – robes are preferred if this is an option.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 2024 deadline will be announced soon
