Although you have probably done quite a bit of writing in high school, previous college classes, or even your job, it is sometimes difficult for college students to handle the different types of writing required by college professors. Being asked to write an in-depth research paper, a lab report, or even a journal entry can seem confusing if you don’t understand what these different types of writing entail. It is also helpful to have a good idea of what constitutes strong writing overall at the college level. If you have any questions or concerns about your writing in general, or if you would like assistance with a specific writing assignment you are working on, please contact the Writing Center (located on the first floor of Dunn Library) at 961-1899.
