Individual Services

Personalized assistance is a particularly effective way of supporting and sustaining teaching growth. You can come for a one-time individual consultation or a series of meetings with a mentor.

Consultations and mentoring relationships may focus on preparing for an annual review, writing a self-evaluation, learning a new pedagogical approach or technique (e.g., problem-based learning, collaborative learning, using clickers), learning how to use technology (e.g., Scholar, Camtasia, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel), starting a new research program, or getting to know more faculty members on campus.

You can also request to have someone provide a confidential peer observation of you in your classroom or to have someone videotape you while you teach.

To arrange any of these services, contact Kate Lerseth, Director of Faculty Development.
