Study abroad at Simpson’s partner institution, the University of Adelaide, in the state of South Australia. Take classes taught by the Simpson program director as well as from a wide range of course offerings at UA to fulfill either general education or major/minor requirements. Get to know the local culture by living with a host family. Experience life “Down Under.” Offered during the fall semester of even numbered years.
Spend a semester immersed in the culture, history, language and literature of Chile under the direction of a Simpson professor. Work on your language skills while getting to know your Chilean host families. Visit important historical and cultural sites including Chile’s capital of Santiago. Offered during the spring semester of even numbered years.
Live and learn with other Simpson students, accompanied by a Simpson professor, in one of the world’s great historical, cultural, political, and economic centers. Take classes with local and other international students at the University of Roehampton while living in on-campus housing. Excursions both within London and in other parts of the U.K. are included. Offered during the fall semester of odd numbered years.
An intensive learning experience where students with any level of German language skills can study German language plus culture, history, and/or European Studies taught in English while living with German families. Included are visits to historical and cultural sites. Offered any fall, spring, or summer term.
Chiang Mai, Thailand
Held in a fascinating part of the developing world, this program gives students the chance to learn about Thailand, Thai language, Thai culture, and topics related to Southeast Asia in general. Course-related field trips, excursions, and other cultural activities are included as well. Students are housed in modern apartments just off CMU’s campus with both local and international students. Offered any fall, spring or summer term.
