The College hosts a variety of individual and team summer camps, catering to a wide range of interests and ages. Whether you or a child are looking for a weeklong jazz camp or one of our many sports day camps, Simpson College is the place to be when the temperature rises.
Academic & Performance Camps
June 9 - 14, 2019
This camp is for students age 12–19 looking for an intensive experience to gain skill and experience in jazz and improvisation. Registration is now open. For more information click here.
SC Humanities Camp
June 23 - 28, 2019
For students ages 10–14 interested in “majoring” and “minoring” in magic, mythology and more. All majors are taught by full-time Simpson College professors who will help develop camper’s academic skills while engaging their imagination and creativity. Open to residential campers and commuter campers.
Public Forum Debate Camp
July 14 - 19, 2019
Hone your speaking and debate skills in this highly vocal camp. Open to students who will be in grades 9-12 in the fall of 2019.

Adults deserve camps too! Enjoy an in-depth look at the Des Moines Metro Opera as you attend two performances, see an apprentice concert, enjoy a backstage tour, mix and mingle with the artists and attend classes conducted by professional opera staff. Football Prospect Camp
May 31, 2019
5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. for grades 9-12
Combine style testing, individual position group drills, and evaluation from Simpson Football Staff and Invited Division II staffs.
Youth Football Camp
June 10 - 13, 2019
This is a half day camp from 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. for kids in grades 1–8 and aims to expose kids to the fundamentals of football through technique, games and fun.
7 On 7 and OL/DL
July 14 & 21, 2019
For grades 9-12, this is a skill camp offered for individual athletes and teams and will be conducted in shells (helmet and shoulder pads).
Two-Day Team Camps
June 8 - 9; July 27 - 28; July 29 -30; July 31 - Aug. 1, 2019
For grades 9-12, these are full contact, padded team camp sessions that offer players resources to improve technique, fundamentals and achieve team goals.

Netfest is a girls volleyball and basketball camp for 5 - 8 graders. Athletes can sign up for only volleyball, only basketball or both. Volleyball only sessions are 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Basketball only sessions are 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

A one day camp from 1:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. for 9-12 graders that provides advanced skill training in specialized positions. Dinner is included.
Stormfest Team Camp
July 24, 2019
This is a one day camp from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for 9-10 grade teams to improve team play.
High School Team Camp
July 25 - July 26, 2019
July 24 - Optional check-in for resident teams at 7 p.m.
Competitive team play camp featuring team clinics and practice sessions, skills contests and team building for 10-12 grade teams.
Men's Basketball Youth Camp
June 5 - 8, 2018 (12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day)
A camp for athletes entering grades 4–9 that provides individual attention and a terrific basketball experience. The camp’s goal is to see that each player improves his basketball skills with quality instruction and a fun format to enhance individual techniques.

This is an overnight camp for players ages 15–18. There is a men’s and women’s camp.

Times go from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. for grades 2-5. For 6-8 grades times are 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
