Making a Powerful Impact

As a two-time All-America Scholar Athlete, Brie Ginnaty ’27 isn’t afraid to swing for the fences. Ginnaty smashed five homers last year to help the Storm surge into the NCAA Division III playoffs in 2025. She’s also doubling down on her academic majors —studying both business management and marketing communications.

Ginnaty is taking advantage of multiple internships to gain diverse and highly practical career-related experience.

“I’ve made numerous connections with my peers, department members, and industry professionals that will really help me moving forward,” said Ginnaty. “I have learned how to use my resources to give me the leg-up in the job/internship market and to really dive into my coursework, all while being a student athlete and holding leadership positions in different groups on campus.”

Ginnaty’s portfolio includes a social entrepreneurship with the Community Broadband Action Network in Indianola and an internal communication internship with Benefis Health System in her hometown of Great Falls, Mont. Most recently, she has served as a social media intern for the American Rivers Conference and as the co-director of marketing and social media for the Simpsonian.

“My internships have been super valuable in letting me dip my toes into a bunch of different roles in the industry,” said Ginnaty. “My majors in business and marketing have provided the perfect storm of skillsets that will not only land me a starting position in the industry but will also allow me to level-up as I progress up the ladder in organizations.”

This summer, Ginnaty will be a customer engagement content writer intern for Wellabe Insurance in Des Moines — with the opportunity to secure a full-time position after graduation.
