NSA Mathematician Blaise Mikels ’12 Visits Campus
Blaise Mikels, a 2012 graduate visited campus to connect with students about his work at the National Security Agency (NSA). Mikels has been at the NSA for 10 years with his current position being an Applied Research Mathematician.
Recently, Mikels has taken on an a role as the Academic Liaison to Simpson College for NSA. “I want to be more involved in academia, and this gives me an opportunity to give back in some way to Simpson College and its students,” Mikels states. This role gives Mikels the chance to speak about his experiences and discuss possible internships and full-time employment with the National Security Agency.
Mikels had a packed schedule during his visit, meeting with students, visiting classrooms and connecting with faculty. Thank you to Blaise Mikels for sharing your experiences and informing students of possible opportunities with the NSA.
