Simpson College is Iowa’s top-ranked college and #6 overall in the recently released 2025 U.S. News & World Report Regional Midwest Rankings. Simpson is also #1 in Iowa for “Best Value” and “Best Undergraduate Teaching” – while also earning a #4 overall ranking in both categories.
“Simpson’s strong showing in the U.S. News rankings reaffirms our growing distinction as a leader in higher education,” said Jay Byers, president of Simpson College. “We are building tremendous momentum, and more students are taking notice, as evidenced this fall by our largest incoming class in more than a decade. U.S. News rankings involve a methodology examining 17 factors, including graduation and retention rates, graduation rate performance and peer assessment.
Earlier this year, Simpson earned four out of five stars in Money’s 2024 Best Colleges in America rankings.
