We have a steadfast commitment to making a Simpson education accessible to families of all means. We now offer three full-tuition scholarship programs: Simpson $100K Promise, 99 County Full-Tuition Program, and Full-Tuition Offer for Des Moines, Indianola Students.

Types of Scholarships & Grants

The Presidential Transfer Scholarship of $34,000 is offered to full-time transfer students with a GPA of 3.5 or better. This scholarship may not be combined with other Simpson scholarships. In order to receive the full $34,000 students must be on-campus residents or independent according to FAFSA guidelines.

Transfer students who demonstrate high academic achievement, a GPA of 3.0 to 3.49 and who plan to seek full-time enrollment at Simpson will be eligible for this scholarship of $32,000. In order to receive the full amount of $32,000, students must be on-campus residents or independent according to FAFSA guidelines.

This grant is offered to transfer students with a cumulative GPA of 2.50 – 2.99. It is $30,000 grant offered annually. In order to receive the full $30,000 grant students must be on-campus residents or independent according to FAFSA guidelines.

The alumni scholarship recognizes the dependent student whose mother, father or grandparent(s) attended Simpson College and is in addition to any other scholarships or grants for which the student may qualify. An alumni grant of $1,000 per year will be made available to each dependent of an alumnus. The student must be enrolled full-time to receive this offer.

When two or more dependent students from the same family are enrolled at Simpson College full-time during the same term, a multiple dependency grant of $1,000 is available to each student and is in addition to any other scholarships or grants for which the student may qualify. This grant is not based on financial need.

Awards in these areas are made to students on the basis of ability and academic promise. One of these special talent scholarships can be stacked on top of other scholarship for which a student is eligible. An audition for music and theatre scholarships or a portfolio for graphic design scholarships is required of candidates for these awards. To be considered for a Graphic Design, Music, Theatre, Culver Fellowship, Wesley Scholarship, Esports Scholarship, Simpson Productions Scholarship or Speech & Debate Scholarship, students must be admitted to Simpson College for full-time enrollment and meet scholarship application deadlines.
