Theatre Simpson. It’s a world unto itself with a great presence on campus. Our theatre arts majors are known for their passion and immersion into the world of theatre. Whether it’s acting, directing, lighting, costume or set designing, there’s a role for every talent. Including yours.

Simpson produces four-five plays each year with an emphasis on a quality experience for the performer and the audience. We take professionalism to a new level with performances, production and an overall experience that is comparable to the likes of the Guthrie or Steppenwolf Theatres.

Our theatre department is comprised of four full-time faculty and three staff members — large by comparison to other colleges our size. Faculty members connect with each student and become life-long mentors. Our newly renovated Blank Performing Arts Center features state-of-the-art lighting, five classrooms — one designated for design class — and a large performance classroom that includes a lighting laboratory.
