Master of Arts in Teaching
Candidates who complete Simpson’s Master of Arts in teaching or transition to teaching coursework will earn a secondary teaching license for Iowa, setting them on the path to success.

Simpson College offers two graduate teacher education programs for candidates pursuing secondary licensure in business, world languages, English/language arts, math, natural sciences, and social sciences: the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program, which results in both licensure and a master’s degree, and the Transition to Teaching (T-to-T) program, which results in licensure.
