Archives & Special Collections
Dunn Library is the home to an extensive collection of College history and memorabilia in the Joseph W. Walt Research Library & College Archives. Our archives include the George Washington Carver Collection and information about the Lane Sisters from their time at Simpson. The Avery O. and Georgia Craven room on the second floor of Dunn Library houses Dr. Craven's personal library of over 2,000 books, notes, manuscripts and correspondence with historian Frederick Jackson Turner and others.
Dunn Library offers the space to study, collaborate and innovate. You choose your comfort spot; from quiet rooms to individual carrels to collaborative group spaces. We offer a computer lab, research computers and access to other student support services.
Semester library hours:
M - Th 7:45 a.m. - 12 a.m.
Fri 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Sat 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Sun 12 p.m. - 12 a.m.
