Earn a scholarship

You can get a scholarship to play for the Storm. The Simpson College Esports Scholarship is based on high school Esports experience and ranges from $500–$2,000 annually. For more information, email Director of Esports Hubert Whan Tong by clicking "Apply Today" below.

Simpson Esports competes in five of the top titles in the system but is prepared to expand to serve the needs of the community. The club program provides an opportunity to explore additional titles for future consideration.

Current titles include:

  • Smash Bros.

Compete against the best

The Simpson eSports program competes in the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE), the largest conference in the college Esports system with 600 member schools and 14,500 students. Our affiliation with NACE provides endless opportunities to compete against a diverse talent pool across the country.

Meet the Director


Hubert Whan Tong took over as the Director of Esports in 2021. A passionate coach and former collegiate player, Whan Tong's vision and leadership have catapulted Simpson into a contender the competitive Esports system. He previously served as head coach and program director at Illinois College and head coach at DeSales University, his alma mater.
