Do it all at SC

College is about getting involved. At SC you can do it all, make lifelong friends and have fun!

A CLUB FOR EVERYONE

Simpson has dozens of clubs and organizations in the areas of academics, service, culture and diversity, religious life, student media and many others.

INTRAMURALS ANYONE? 60% OF SIMPSON STUDENTS PARTICIPATE.

Open to all students, at Simpson we take intramurals seriously. Teamwork, practice, competitive advantages ... talk about fun!

JOIN GREEK LIFE

Being part of a fraternity or sorority is about more than joining a group or having fun—it's about leadership, service and lifelong friendships.

INTERESTED IN PUBLIC POLICY?

The Culver Center’s nonpartisan programs educate and inspire active participation in our democracy and encourage people to consider political service as their life’s work.

School Spirit? Hell Yes.

At Homecoming we flood Cowles Field House for a pep rally called Yell like Hell where campus groups compete for the bragging rights of having the best stomp routine and most Simpson spirit.

TAKE IN A CONCERT

The Black Box in the Kent Campus Center hosts world-renowned concert performances ... and it’s steps from your residence hall. Perfect!

PROFESSIONAL ORCHESTRA?

Our students have the opportunity to play with the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra ... talk about impressive!

FEEL LIKE A BONFIRE?

No problem. We have an awesome bonfire area donated by an alum so students kick back, roast marshmallows and enjoy each other’s company.

LOVE TO SING?

Our Madrigal Singers have a long and proud tradition of performing on prestigious stages,  outreach and conducting workshops with high school madrigal ensembles annually.

225!
The number of campus events Campus Activities Board (CAB) organizes each year.

Hit Starbucks, Tyler’s Grille, SubConnection or Red Mango on your way to class for an award-winning frozen yogurt, frappuccino or made-to-order sandwich.

Over 20 world-renowned entertainers and performances are brought to campus each year.

Get Involved On Campus

We ♥ Our Location

THERE IS SO MUCH TO DO WE HAVE A HARD TIME CHOOSING! Indianola and Des Moines are so close that we literally consider our towns neighbors – so, we hop the fence to see world-renowned performances, go shopping, take in the art scene – we get to do everything!

RELIGIOUS LIFE COMMUNITY

Religious Life Community is completely student led.

Anyone is welcome to grow in their never-ending journey of faith and spirituality in this dynamic group.

Form meaningful relationships, learn and engage in dialogue and build community through service.

Storm Service

Service is in our DNA. We believe in making a difference so much that we have a scholarship to support students who are involved in volunteer service. Our clubs and organizations, religious life, Culver Center and sororities and fraternities all provide opportunities to serve.
