Five steps for students to use to evaluate an argument: The website asks students in these steps to 1) look at the conclusion of an argument, 2) determine what the premise of the argument 3) test the validity.
Strengths:
The five steps to evaluate arguments are clear, and require minimal adaptation to use an in-class activity or assign as homework.
Concerns:
This may be an oversimplification of argument evaluation. Please also check copyright.
Recommendations:
It is a single page that could be easily projected during class. (or link emailed to students) The instructor would need to have your own arguments ready for students to evaluate.
