A legendary performance by Stewart, in which he exposes the hollow political posturing of the hosts of Crossfire.
Strengths
Entertaining and insightful. A modern version of “the emperor has no clothes” that should help students critically assess their sources and challenge assumptions and spin.
Weaknesses
some language and potential for discomfort in viewing, due to combative nature
Recommendations for use
I might use it if students were being too accepting of their sources, instructing them to watch it outside of class and to reflect in writing how they might adopt Stewart’s stance towards their own authorities
