Katherine Vance

Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Katherine Vance brings expertise in theoretical math, particularly knot theory and topology, to the Simpson College mathematics department.


Katherine Vance teaches a broad range of mathematics courses, from College Algebra and calculus to senior-level courses for math majors.  She also supervises undergraduate research and serves as an academic advisor.  She remains active in knot theory research and is actively involved in the Iowa Section of the Mathematical Association of America.
