Kelly Swinton

Assistant Professor of Accounting
Kelly Swinton brings significant work and teaching experience to the department as well experience teaching in the online environment.

Biography

Kelly Swinton has taught a wide variety of accounting and business courses, including accounting, management, finance, banking, and Microsoft Excel. Prior to joining academia, she worked in banking and as a public accountant.

Swinton is an active participant of the Iowa Society of CPA’s Financial Literacy Committee and a volunteer with the United Way of Central Iowa’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance’s program preparing tax returns for low-to-moderate income families during tax season.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, reading, gardening, crafting and traveling.
