Why are we so confident?
Six of the top 10 fastest growing careers in America are healthcare related. And there is currently a shortage of qualified individuals to fill key positions in this growing field.
A degree in Health Services Leadership (HSL) prepares you for careers in a variety of organizations that intersect with healthcare. HSL students have interned for, and graduates are employed by, organizations such as: Iowa Hospital Association, Iowa Healthcare Collaborative, UnityPoint - Des Moines, Greater Regional Medical Center, The Village - a Wesley Life community, Adair County Memorial Hospital, Iowa Home Care, Decatur County Hospital, Audubon County Memorial Hospital, Iowa Healthcare Association, CareView Communications, Compass Memorial Healthcare, Van Diest Medical Center, Lakeview Surgery Center, Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, University Park Nursing and Rehabilitation, Candeo, Alina Health, The Iowa Clinic, ChildServe, LCS, and more.
If you're interested in the healthcare field, or can imagine yourself running an organization, or simply want to work in a career where you help people, check out a health services leadership major. In the meantime, see what more the Department of Business Administration and Economics has to offer.
