Major and Minor

What will I learn?


You will develop expertise in both programming and the theoretical and mathematical basis of computer science. You will have the opportunity to program in several languages and on a variety of platforms -- for example, traditional PCs, database, web, mobile apps, etc. You will also gain a deep understanding of topics such as the development and analysis of algorithms, the theory of programming languages, operating systems and computer architecture.

An introduction to computer programming, emphasizing algorithm design and implementation using conditionals, loops, functions, recursion and object-oriented programming. You will create your own computer game during the semester.

What can I do with my degree?

Many of our graduates move on to graduate school or find a high-tech job of the future. Whatever you decide, we will be there to guide and support you.
