If you can see yourself in any of these or similar roles, understanding the business side of the arts is a critical component to success. Designed for students with an interest in participating in, leading and managing arts organizations and activities, you will combine your strengths and passions to become a leader in the arts sector.
What will I learn?
This minor is available only to those students who pursue a major or minor in art, music or theater. You will be introduced to the broad areas of economics, management and accounting. Through the examination of art-related enterprises and companies, you will learn how these disciplines are employed in arts management.
An introduction to the principles of management including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, controlling and strategies.
