What will I learn?
Studying human services will help you build upon your gift of compassion and your unwillingness to accept the status quo. Classes will teach you theory, skills and knowledge, then give you an immersive experience into a human services agency.
This course addresses basic social service structures, both public and private, as they serve families, individuals and communities to meet the needs of citizens. The nature of how to build a professional helping relationship will be examined, along with the techniques and skills to avoid discouragement and burnout within the helping profession.
