Teaching Endorsement for Theatre
One of the best ways to share your love of the theatre is to teach it to others
To become a secondary education teacher, you will earn a full major in your teaching area and a minor in secondary education. Simpson students interested in earning an endorsement can complete a bachelor's degree and earn a teaching license in four years.
What will I learn?
You will study in the departments of theatre, teacher education and multimedia communication to create a strong foundation that you can take into your future classroom.
This course focuses on how language and culture intersect to produce meaning and identity. Topics include a variety of basic communication issues, including intention, interpretation, outcomes and ethics. Emphasis is placed on public speaking, the analysis of communication situations and thinking critically about the influences and limitations of language.
