Simpson College Alumni-Sponsored Internships

Simpson College Career Development’s vision is for all our students to be competitive candidates for their first-choice destinations following graduation.

Creating competitive candidates requires expertise from all industries, ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. We seek your expertise as an alum to make this happen!

We recognize the positive impact your involvement can make in the life of a student beginning their professional journey. You can help Simpson College equip students with additional skills, knowledge, and connections to be successful in today’s workplace.

We believe this partnership will develop future community leaders while simultaneously raising awareness of your company/organization, services, and/or products.

BENEFITS TO ALUMNI SPONSORS:

  • Career Development will promote the opportunity and your organization to our campus constituents.
  • Career Development will assist with identifying, emailing, and communicating with qualified candidates to meet your organization’s needs each year.
  • You will have the opportunity to work with a college student who brings new ideas, skills, and strengths to assist with current projects.
  • You will feel great about giving back to Simpson College and directly impacting students.
  • This initiative could create a talent pipeline for your organization.

GUIDELINES FOR ALUMNI SPONSORS:

Your organization would ideally:

  • Host one intern per year (fall, spring, May Term, or summer)
  • Provide a site mentor (you or a fellow alumni colleague) to provide valuable feedback and guidance so our students continue to grow and learn
  • Pay your intern an hourly wage or stipend
  • Include your intern in the workplace so they feel part of the organization and have the opportunity to gain professional skills

NEXT STEPS:

Please complete this short form if your organization can offer a Simpson College student an internship experience. We seek opportunities in all industries and settings!
