Maggie Flowers, Majoring in Environmental Science 

  • Originally from Rock Island, Illinois, Flowers is majoring in Environmental Science, Applied Philosophy, and French. One fun fact about Maggie is that she has been to Morroco. Over the summer, Flowers will be participating in Undergraduate Research in New York. 

Oleg Nochvay, Majoring in Computer Science and Religion

  • Originally from Indianola, Iowa, Nochvay is double majoring in Computer Science and Religion. A fun fact about Oleg is that he is Bilingual, Ukrainian being his other language. Over the summer, Nochvay will be working as a Programming intern in Des Moines, Iowa. 

Nicole WardMajoring in Mathematics and Minoring in Secondary Education and Psychology

  • Originally from Tinley Park, IL, Ward is majoring in Mathematics and minoring in Secondary Education and Psychology. Ward is currently a Wesley Service Scholar and is the In-house chair of the Campus Activities Board. She is also a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority, Math Club, and Rotaract Club. One fun fact about Nicole is that she has a twin sister and they were born on Christmas Eve. Over the summer, Ward will be participating in Undergraduate Research at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa.

Manoj RaiMajoring in BioChemistry and Minoring in Mathematics 

  • Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, Rai is majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Math. Rai is currently a member of the International Student Organization and some fun facts about him is that he was born in Nepal and speaks two languages.

Cassie Bergman, Majoring in Environmental Science 

  • Bergman is originally from Iowa, Bergman is majoring in Environmental Science. One fun fact about Cassie is that she's studied abroad in Australia!  

Samuel Adeniyi, Majoring in Computer Science and Computer Information Science 

  • Originally from Roseville, Minnesota,  Adeniyi is majoring in Computer Science and Computer Information Systems. At Simpson, Adeniyi plays Football and Track and is a part of TRIO, Student Ambassadors at Simpson, and an intern at the Light Company. One fun fact about Sam is that he can play the piano. Over the summer, Adeniyi will participate in Undergraduate Research at The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in Minnesota. 

Sara Lawson, Majoring in Actuarial Science, Spanish. Minoring in Secondary Education

  • Originally from Bloomfield, Iowa, Lawson is double majoring in Actuarial Science and Spanish and minoring in Secondary Education. Sara’s involvement on campus includes being the Co-leader of the Dance Club, a member of the Praise Band in the Religious Life Community, and a member of the Math Club. One fun fact about Sara is that she's been to Costa Rica two times. Over the summer, Lawson will be working as an Actuarial intern in Des Moines, Iowa. 

Cole SiglerMajoring in Physics and Environmental Science. Minoring in Religion and Mathematics

  • Originally from Dallas Center, IA, Sigler is majoring in Physics and Environmental Science and minoring in both Religion and Math. One fun fact about Cole is that he has been on a service trip to Fort Worth, Texas.

Lauren VillafuerteMajoring in  Physics-Engineering

  • Originally from Paauilo, HI, Villafuerte is majoring in Physics-Engineering. Currently, Villafuerte is the Secretary of the Latinos Unidos club and member of both the Computer Science Club and the International Student Organization. One fun fact about Lauren is she didn't know Genevieve before coming to Simpson. Over the summer, Villafuerte will be working as an Upward Bound Leader at The University of Hawaii, in Hilo, Hawaii. 

    Ben Christensen, Majoring in Data Science

    • Originally from Malvern, Iowa, Christensen is majoring in Data Science. Christensen's involvement on campus includes the Student Alumni Association, a participant in Intramurals, and coaching youth Volleyball. A fun fact about Ben is that he is the first declared data science major at Simpson. Over the summer, Christensen will be participating in Undergraduate Research at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa.

    Genevieve Block, Majoring in Actuarial Science and Computer Science 

    • Originally from Pahoa, Hawaii, Block is currently majoring in Actuarial Science and Computer Science. At Simpson, she is the Treasurer of Latinos Unidos Club, member of the International Student Organization, and currently a Student Ambassador. A fun fact about Genevieve is the fact that she has an identical twin. Over the summer, Block will be working as a Business Analyst intern at the American Testing Company in Iowa City, Iowa. 

    George SaucedoMajoring in Computer Science and Mathematics 

    • Originally from in Chicago, Illinois, Saucedo is majoring in Computer Science and Math and minoring in Computer Information Systems. Saucedo is currently the President of Latinos Unidos Club and treasurer of the International Student Organization.  One fun fact about George is that he loves to cook and be in the kitchen. 

      Molly Fisher, Majoring in Environmental Science 

      • Originally from Nashua, Iowa, Fisher is majoring in Environmental Science and minoring in Biology. Fisher's campus involvement includes being President of both Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and the Campus Activities Board. Fisher is also the Sophomore senator in the Student Government Association and General manager of the Sustainability Club. One fun fact about Molly is that she is scuba certified! Over the summer, Fisher will be participating in Undergraduate Research at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. Her research will be in both Kansas and Mongolia. 

      Harrison SmithMajoring in Environmental Science 

      • Originally from Boone, IA, Smith is majoring in Environmental Science. He is a member of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity and Catholic student organization. One fun fact about Harrison is that he plays the cello. 

      Delia Matos HernandezMajoring in Actuarial Science and Human Services 

      • Originally from the city of Chicago, Illinois, Matos-Hernandez is majoring in Actuarial Science and Human Services. Delia is currently apart of the Latinos Unidos Club. One fun fact about Delia is that in the span of one year, she went to Mexico three times!
