Model United Nations

“My best experience [in International Relations] was Model United Nations… the preparations, the conference, and reflecting on the experience afterwards created knowledge and memories I will never forget.” — from Alumni Survey

Every year, Simpson College students participate in the Midwest Model United Nations (or MMUN). Model U.N. is a course and exciting role-playing simulation where students work together on important international issues. Simpson students play the role of a nation’s diplomatic delegation for a trip to the Model U.N. conference in St. Louis, where hundreds of students test their knowledge of global politics and diplomacy. Simpson students regularly win Outstanding Delegation awards, including two awards at MMUN 2015.

The course is advised and taught by Dr. Eduardo Magalhaes.
