Each year religion majors travel with faculty members to a regional meeting of our professional organizations, the American Academy of Religion and Society of Biblical Literature. In 2018, the meeting will be held at St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota on April 14. Maddy Kersten will present her paper on religious literacy.

The religion department hosts the annual Matthew Simpson Lecture in Religion, bringing a nationally known speaker to campus for a public lecture and interaction with religion students.

In October 2018, we will welcome Dr. Amy Laura Hall as our Matthew Simpson Lecturer. For more information, click here.
