Agents of Change

"Actors are Agents of Change. A film, a piece of theater, a piece of music, or a book can make a difference. It can change the world."

Working as a collaborative team, students who are involved in Agents of Change focus on ending sexual harassment and assault on campus.

As a part of the Agents of Change May Term course, you will research, write and produce a performance. The first week of the course will focus on research and idea development. This will include meeting with various campus groups including Student Development, Counseling, S.A.R.A, and PRIDE. During that week, potential material for performance will be developed through different theatre exercises and games. In the second week, students will begin to fine-tune the script and start staging the performance. In the third week, students will present the performance for various stakeholders on campus. The performance is then used as a part of the orientation for incoming students in the fall.

As of Fall 2017, we now have an Agents of Change group on campus. This group works to uphold the conversation on campus. Agents of Change commonly collaborates with S.A.R.A to host events on campus throughout the year.
