Guidelines

Mailroom personnel leave at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for the on-campus mail routes. Mail for pick up will need to be ready at these times with the appropriate laminated mail card attached. Mail received after 3:30 p.m. will not be sent until the following day.

Laminated mail cards with barcodes should accompany all outgoing metered mail. Please use the appropriate card and bundle separately the following: First Class, Book Rate, Library Rate, Air Mail, and Certified.

Do not mix stamped mail and No Postage necessary mail in with the metered mail. A mail card does not need to be attached to this type of mail.

All campus mail must be bundled and kept separate from outgoing mail.

Leave flaps up on all mail to be sealed by the machine.

Seal all envelopes that seal from the end (i.e., large white or manila). The machine does not have the capability to seal these envelopes.

Mail to students must have name and box number. Ten or more pieces must be in box order. If you do not have a box number, call the mailroom. Mail not in box order will be returned to your office.

Bulk Mailing through a third party requires 7 days advance notice. This is necessary to ensure adequate funds are available at the Post Office.
