Outside Scholarships for Current Students

General: 

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is launching the Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship for students training in high demand STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields.  The Rogers STEM scholarship is now available at: https://www.va.gov/education/apply-for-education-benefits/application/1995/introduction.

Recipients will receive up to nine months of additional Post-9/11 GI Bill® entitlement or a maximum of $30,000.  Eligible Post 9/11 GI Bill® students must have either exhausted their entitlement or will exhaust their entitlement within 180 days.  Eligibility for the scholarship has two paths:

  • A student enrolled in a STEM program leading to an undergraduate degree who has completed 60 credit hours of their program and requires at least 120 semester (or 180 quarter) credit hours to graduate.
  • A student who has earned a STEM undergraduate degree and has enrolled in a teaching certification program.

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship:  Abbott & Fenner Business Consultanst are pleased to be able to continue with their scholarship program for the 13th year.  They will be awarding $1,000 to the winner(s) each year.  Scholarship deadline is June 12, 2020.  Full details are available on the web site.  Students will submit an essay on the topic that appears on the scholarship page of their web site :  http://www.abbottandfenner.com/scholarships.php
 

 

AES Scholarship:  The consulting form of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students.  The opportunity is available to all students, regardless of their field of study.  To be eligible the students need to answer one of the essay questions they will find at http://www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.htm.

Grundy County Memorial Hospital Foundation:  scholarship applications are being accepted for students who are enrolled in a health care career program listed below and live in or graduated from high school in one of the communities served by the Grundy County Memorial Hospital service area in Butler, Grundy, Hardin or Tama counties.  Deadline to apply is May 31, 2020.   Accepted health programs:  Nursing, Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Anesthetist, Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, Dietetics, Laboratory Sciences, Occupational Therapist or Occ. Therapist Assistant, Paramedic, Pharmacist, Physical Therapist or PT Assistant, Physician's Assistant, Radiological Sciences, Ultrasound Technologist.  Applications are available in the financial aid office or at GCMH_Foundation@unitypoint.org
