Why wait until your junior or senior year to begin an undergraduate research program? Our students begin learning the importance of research in their first year. And that's just one component of our engaged mathematics program.
Simpson's math degree gives you a solid foundation you can use for so many different things, from analyzing the actions of enzymes on DNA, to stock market trends, to the effects of invasive insect species. to the evolution of human cooperation. Math majors can do anything!
You will study limits, continuity, derivatives, applications of derivatives and definite and indefinite integrals as applied to algebraic, trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic functions.
