Simpson College Counseling Services remain committed to supporting students’ wellbeing and mental health. In addition to in-person services wearing masks, as Simpson continues to work through the COVID-19 pandemic, Counseling Services have shifted our service model to include telehealth, consultation, and referral services.
To get connected, please call (515) 961-1332 or email email@example.com and we will respond to schedule with one of our counselors. If you have worked with a counselor at Simpson in the past, you can also email them directly!
When you leave a message or email us, we will send you all the necessary paperwork remotely and provide directions on how to connect for your appointment. For telehealth, we use a program called Zoom for Telehealth, which is HIPAA compliant and uses students' existing Zoom accounts.
Counseling Services provides free individual, group and couples counseling for Simpson students, as well as prevention and consultation services for the college community, and assistance with connecting to community-based counselors.
Counseling Services can help students resolve personal concerns that may interfere with their academic progress, social development, and satisfaction at Simpson. Some of the more common concerns include difficulty with friends, roommates, or family members; depression and anxiety; sexual identity; lack of motivation or difficulty relaxing, concentrating or studying; eating disorders; substance abuse; sexual assault and sexual abuse recovery; and uncertainties about personal values and beliefs.
