To place an on-campus call:
Dial the four-digit campus extension number.
To place a local call:
Dial 8 + seven-digit telephone number.
To place a 1-800, 1-866, 1-877 or 1-888 call:
Dial 8 + 1 + ten-digit toll-free telephone number + authorization code.
To place a long-distance or billable call:
Dial 8 + 1 + ten-digit telephone number + authorization code.
To reach an outside operator:
Dial 8 + 0, and after a ten-second pause, listen for a broken dial tone.
Enter your authorization code, after another pause the AT&T operator will answer.
Be sure to dial 8 before dialing 0, otherwise you will reach the campus switchboard.
The switchboard operators cannot dial outside numbers for you.
